You're probably right Shaun. I did buy some extra memory bringing it up to 1Gb but as you say, apps like Eclipse could probably use at least 1.5Gb.

I think the problem that you have been experiencing with you iMac and its slowness is down to you not having enough Memory. One unfortunate problem with Mac OS X, is it is a little memory hungary. You really need 1 GB or more if you can afford it. For large apps like Eclipse 1.5 or 2 GB of RAM is better.

So you do have a dual boot with Windows on one and Mac OS X on the other? Do you need the Parallels software for that?

VMWare is a nice tool alright.

Yes I did replace the batteries. I've pretty much given up on the keyboard tbh. Instead I'm using an old black USB keyboard I had. Doesn't fit in very well with the nice shiny white Mac but it does the job :)

The nice part of owning an Intel Mac is that you can have the best of both worlds. I have my Macbook Pro partitioned, and now that VMware is releasing its program for Mac, I may move some stuff to that.
Btw, did you replace the batteries in the keyboard? ;)
